About

What Does The PTSO Do?

We enrich our middle school through active family involvement, strong staff support, and positive experiences for every student.

Classroom grants

Teachers apply for funding the district budget doesn't cover — books, lab supplies, flexible seating, field trip scholarships. Every approved grant is listed in the project tracker.

Student experiences

Spirit weeks, grade-level mixers, the 8th grade celebration, and school-wide assemblies. Events are planned by parent committees, not by the school office.

Staff appreciation

Breakfasts, conference-night dinners, and end-of-year thank-yous for every teacher, paraeducator, custodian, and office staff member in the building.

A voice for families

Monthly general meetings are open to all. Administration attends, answers questions on the record, and families vote on how PTSO funds are spent.

How a dollar moves

  1. 1

A family donates, or a fundraiser brings money in. The treasurer records it.

  2. 2

A teacher or committee submits a request tied to a budget line.

  3. 3

The board reviews it at an open general meeting and families vote.

  4. 4

The spend is recorded in the project tracker with its status and owner.

  5. 5

The treasurer reports the running balance at the next meeting.
